Learn More About Who We Are
We started this business because a simple need was presented to us. It began in 1994 by putting vinyl numbers on the back of jerseys. Next thing we knew people were asking if we could print their logo on the jersey. Then the next thing we knew people wanted t-shirts and hoodies and polos and jackets. This trend kept happening and we realized that there was a great opportunity to serve the needs of our customers. So we “officially” started Stillwater Screenprinting & Embroidery in 1995. We had a small shop and small basic equipment but it got the job done. We loved the hard work that this industry requires and have just been pursuing growth and opportunities since then. We currently operate out of about 14,000 square feet. We have 2 Automatic presses, 3 manual presses, several vinyl machines, a direct to garment machine, and a digital printer. Our embroidery team operates over 25 heads of embroidery and chenille equipment. The graphics team uses the Adobe suite package. With land to expand we are continually looking for the “what’s new” item in the industry in order to keep up with demand! One of the joys of our family business is the ability to employee great people who we know care about producing quality products for our valued customers. It’s been fun seeing what was a 3 person operation grow to now 20+ team members on staff. It seems as though we are constantly looking for phenomenal team members to join this fun loving crew.

For those of you that don’t know me, I definitely run to the beat of my own drum. I find a great deal of joy in pursuing business opportunities that are challenging or new to me. I once added up all the different businesses I have owned or been a part of and I think it was like 31 or something. Most have failed or gone away but some have stuck and are still thriving. My mother taught me to sell and pursue your goals and I hope I have passed this onto my kids. As for other enjoyable things, I love to fly. I got my private pilot’s license in 2013 and have such fun in the air! Often times we will take a quick trip for lunch or deliver shirts to a customer or just go up because it’s nice flyin’ weather. I love golf but don't get to play enough. We recently bought a fixer upper lake house and this has been a delight. Lynn and I will break away early Friday and head up for the weekend. It’s just nice quality time with her and so peaceful at the lake house. I tend to not sit still too long so if you see me out and about I’m probably on a mission. I’ve learned to love the life that God has given me and try to make the most of it. Keep serving people and keep a smile on your face!

I am first and foremost a Mia (grandmother) to my 8 grand kids and am married to the one and only J.R. We have 3 kids -- Eric, Aaron, and Heidi. Eric is on the east coast with his wife and 3 kids. Aaron is here with us at the business along with his wife and 3 boys. Heidi is in Stillwater but is staying at home now to raise her 2 kids. It’s difficult to write about myself here but I really do enjoy working, spending time with the family, and occasionally visiting with good friends over a nice bottle of wine and good tasting food. My evenings are typically spent posting checks, paying bills, or curled up on the couch watching The Voice or some other reality show with Heidi. A great deal of time is spent with my dad at the nursing home. He has dementia. This has been one of the more difficult things I have gone through since the passing of my mom. Dementia is a huge battle and it hurts my heart to see what it has done to someone I love so much. Lastly I would say that I love to travel but don’t get to do it often enough. I long for the day when J.R. comes through on his promise and takes me to Italy…until then, I’ll just keep pestering him!
Overall Business Care

As I have grown over the years I have really come to respect what it takes to run a successful business. It not only takes hard work and talent but it takes a Team. For me this Team starts with Jesus Christ and his redeeming work upon the Cross. I know that nothing I do will drive this business forward without His blessing. My wife, Teri, and 3 minions – Jett, Pryce, and Axton are a huge joy spot for me. I love them more everyday and can’t believe how patient they are with me in business and in life. As for those other fun, driving factors in my life, I enjoy family time, church time, and flying time. Like my dad, I also have my pilot’s license and love getting in the air on nice Stillwater days. I’m a Deacon at my church and have been given a great gift in being able to serve in this way. Along with this ministry I also serve on the board of Stillwater Life Services, a non-profit ministry geared toward serving those who find themselves in difficult life situations. As the time approaches for my parents to slow down at the business I continually feel the weight of responsibility building on my shoulders. I attempt to stay ahead of the game by reading and listening to podcasts and meeting with great people. That’s me in a nutshell.

I began working for the Reeves family back in 2000 when they owned a sporting goods store. I continued working for them until they sold that business. I briefly went with the business but ultimately came back to them. I started working at Stillwater Screenprinting in 2002, washing screens and generally helping out where needed. Since then I have had stints as a Printer, a Graphic Designer, a Embroiderer, a Digitizer, and the Director of Sales. I am always willing to fill a void where needed and that has led me to a very unique skillset and role within the company. Every day is a new challenge, and I look forward to that challenge. I enjoy the variety of my role within the company and it keeps me on my toes. The other thing that keeps me on my toes are my 2 children, Gideon and Hattie. Along with my wife, Jenny, they are my world and I love doing anything where I get to spend time with them. I enjoy following OSU athletics as well as the OKC Thunder. Gideon plays soccer and I often coach that, as I have played soccer all of my life and coached it at various levels. I look forward to the future at Stillwater Screenprinting & Embroidery, and all of the exciting things coming up.
IT and Maintenance

I hired on to what was initially an 8-color auto, 6-color manual, 4 color hat press, 1 dryer and 5 employee shop. Starting out as a printer I have seen some truly interesting designs go out the door my first 9 years. As this company grew, there became a need for an IT position which I took on. Since that time I have co-developed and coded various custom programs to better assist with the day to day operations of job scheduling and the art approval process. Coming from an automotive and mechanical technician's background allowed me to fulfill JR's last hiring interview question, which was, "Can you wear other hats?". The following years with J.R.'s ever increasing list of projects both business and private, I have come to fully appreciate his inquiry. Along with the IT and equipment maintenance duties, I have been involved with the technology and physical growth of the company. From the initial addition of an Embroidery department, building expansion of the original location, to the most recent relocation of the entire production facility to the new 14,000 sq. ft. campus. Now that Stillwater Screenprinting staffs over 20 employees, has the ability to fulfill a far greater volume of designs, whether it be screen printed, embroidered or digitally, I can truly say I have witnessed this company bloom over these past 16 years.
